The property is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and is a walkers and cyclists paradise.
Woodside is an excellent choice for the gathering of families and friends seeking a relaxing, rural retreat and is the perfect central base for exploring the wild expanse of Hadrian's Wall Country. On the edge of the Northumberland National Park, it also offers easy access to the Scottish Borders, the Heritage Coast and the Lake District.

About the local area
Six miles away lies the historic market town of Hexham, often recognised as the jewel in Northumberland's crown. Dominated by its majestic abbey, Hexham offers many facilities including a cinema/theatre, indoor swimming, numerous charming shops and quaint tea rooms along with several prestigious golf courses. This is the heart of Hadrian's Wall Country, an area with a rich heritage to explore (Vindolands and Housesteads Roman Fort Museum are both interesting visitor attractions) and is a walkers' and cyclists' paradise with miles of wild and beautiful countryside to discover - the Hadrian's Wall footpath is less than half a mile away from the propert. This makes it an ideal base for those wishing to walk the lenght of the wall, especially as the Hadrian's Wall bus runs along the Military Road nearby. 25 miles east, the vibrant city of Newcastle is renowned for its global, cultural pursuits and the extensive shopping facilities at the world famous Metro Centre, which also offers an abundance of attractions including an 11 screen cinema, 20 computerised lanes of indoor bowling and Quasar.
