The Cheviot Challenge!

This exciting project was set up to promote a there and back route between each of the following valleys - .The Coquet Valley, The Breamish Valley, The Harthope Valley, The College Valley and The Bowmont Valley. It is a flexible network that can provide equally well for those who want to take a day trip along the route or venture through a number of the valleys across a few days. It passes through key points where riders have the opportunity to enjoy the many tourist attractions in the area, ranging from Alnwick Castle and Garden and the National Trust property at Cragside to the Northumberland Coast and Holy Island or one of the many castles or abbeys of the Scottish Borders.

This is a challenging route and you will need good map reading skills and a horse that can cope with the hills and the distance. More information about this challenge can be found here
