Mountain bikers are also well catered for with the famous Deadwater Trails at Kielder Water and Forest Park where you can experience some of the best views in Britain whilst you head down the 1,900ft summit of Deadwater Fell. Or test out your skills on the Castlewood Loop which incorporates decking and bridges.
The Coast and Castles cycle route is also a great way to visit some of the many historical sites in the county such as Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle.

Simsonside Forest is located a few miles to the south west of the village of Rothbury in mid-Northumberland. It offers a range of walks for all abilities. The longer walks look out over stunning landscapes. The trails are also ideal for mountain biking.
