Ash Cottage is a quaint white washed 18th century traditional fisherman's cottage and sits in a small terrace adjacent to The Cottage Inn, renowned for its good food and welcoming atmosphere. Dunstan is a friendly hamlet only a mile from the picturesque fishing port of Craster, famous world wide for its oak smoked kippers and the film location for Distant Shores. There are excellent regular bus connections with Alnwick and the railway station at Alnmouth is easily accessible too - and with a local pub, restaurant and shop within walking distance then travelling by car isn't essential. an 'extract' of visitors comments from the property guest book are shown below:-
