A warm welcome awaits guests to Chatton where a shop and pub with restaurant, renowned for its excellent cuisine, are only a gentle stroll from Apple Pie Cottage. Chatton Trout Fishery invites guests to fish without a rod licence in the picturesque 4 acre lake, and where disabled anglers are also catered for, close by.
This picture postcard village is nestled between the wild, heather topped expanses of the Cheviot Hills to the west and the Heritage coastline to the East making Apple Pie Cottage an excellent base for exploring the coast and the countryside alike.
The friendly small town of Wooler, (known locally as Glendale in inspiration for 'Postman Pat's Greendale!) is only 5 miles inland and offers many facilities. This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling, golf, horse riding and walking - the challenging route of the 'St Cuthbert's Way' runs close by.
Bamburgh, renowned for its majestic fortress and beautiful expanse of golden, sandy beach is only 10 miles east. The elegant Georgian town of Berwick which straddles the salmon rich River Tweed, and the cobbled, market town of Alnwick, protected by its dramatic castle, both offer a wide array of amenities around half an hour's drive. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction to see the Grand Cascade Waterfall and dine in the restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe!

The property is wonderfully maintained and had excellent facilities for all the family, even down to board games and DVDs should the weather become too inclement. The furnishing is to a high standard, especially love the large dining kitchen.
