The 12th century stronghold of Chillingham Castle, commands the power and presence of the seasoned film set it regularly becomes - Elizabeth staged many historic scenes here and The Making of Harry Potter was based at Chillingham Castle - it opens its grounds, gardens and a tea room to the public during Easter to October.
Gardener's Cottage can be booked individually or collectively with Woodman's Cottage and Ford Cottage to accommodate the gathering of family and friends up to 12 guests.

A warm welcome awaits guests in Wooler; a small and friendly town found nestled at the foot of the wild, heather topped expanses of the Cheviot Hills. This is the gateway to the Northumberland National Park and sits on the challenging and beautiful route of 'St Cuthbert's Way' only 7 miles west. The surrounding area, with its spectacular scenery, is known locally as Glendale (the inspiration for 'Postman Pat!') and its many picturesque bridleways and footpaths are popular with those who enjoy cycling, walking and horse riding. Chatton Trout Fishery invites guests to fish without a rod licence in the picturesque 4 acre lake, and where disabled anglers are also catered for, close by. Bamburgh, renowned for its majestic fortress and expansive stretch of golden, sandy beach is only 11 miles east and the historic market town of Alnwick, offers many facilities and where visitors will enjoy exploring the popular Alnwick Garden with its Grand Cascade waterfall and the largest tree house in Europe, only a 20 minute drive. Newcastle and Edinburgh are equidistant, each being just over an hour's drive making Chiullingham a superb rural base to explore this beautiful stretch of North Northumberland.
