Driftwood sits within the friendly village of Beadnell, where a quaint tea room, a village shop and The Craster Arms, well known for its good food and welcoming family atmosphere are only a gentle stroll away. The sweeping, sandy beach Beadnell Bay is renowned for is close by - a popular location for those who enjoy an extensive range of quality water sports, including sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving. Only 2 miles north is the fishing port of Seahouses, where golf, horse riding and fishing are available and where boat trips to the Farne Islands - famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony- depart regularly. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies snuggled in the shadow of its majestic fortress; with the power and presence of the seasoned film set it regularly becomes and where Holy Island can be seen from its glorious, sandy beach.
