The property is nestled within the boundary of the picturesque village of Bamburgh, dominated by its majestic fortress, which commands the power and presence of the seasoned film set it regularly becomes; the Castle is visible from the garden and several of the windows - absolutely stunning... There are several restaurants, charming pubs and quaint tea rooms within the honey-pot village of Bamburgh and the Grace Darling Museum is only a gentle stroll away.  The expanse of golden, sandy beach for those who yearn for the sights, smells and sounds of the waves crashing  against this beautiful, unspoilt seashore and where Holy Island - the birth place of Christianity - can be seen from the shoreline is around half a mile away.  The traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the Farne Islands - famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony - depart regularly from its harbour and where horse riding, an impressive 18-hole golf course on the links and restaurants are only a selection of the amenities available only 2 miles South.

Bamburgh is situated equidistant between the elegant Georgian town of Berwick, which straddles the salmon rich River Tweed and the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle - the ancestral home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter's Hogwarts Academy!) both being around 17 miles away.  Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction' a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, which includes the Grand Cascade waterfall, a Poison Garden and a restaurant incorporated within the largest tree house in Europe!
