Situated on a small working farm, Byre Cottage is one of a pair of semi detached cottages sitting opposite the farmhouse. West Stobswood Farm is located only 4 miles from Druridge Bay - its spectacular, golden sweeping vista is arguably one of the most stunning beaches in Northumberland; nestled by rolling sand dunes and idyllic for those who enjoy walking barefoot in the sand, inhale the invigorating sea air and listen to the waves lapping against this beautiful seashore. There is a Country Park nearby, which offers a Nature Sanctuary, a visitor centre and where many water sports are available on Ladyburn Lake, also renowned for its copious wildlife. The traditional fishing village of Amble, known locally as ' the friendliest port' is 8 miles north and where boat trips to Coquet Island, populated by basking seals and breeding gulls and puffins, depart regularly, The historic market town of Morpeth, with its winding River Wansbeck, offers an extensive range of facilities only 8 miles south. For those seeking more lively entertainment, the cultural metropolis of Newcastle and extensive shopping facilities at Gateshead's Metro Centre are 20 miles south. Byre Cottage sits adjacent to Dairy Cottage and can be booked individually or together to accommodate up to 8 guests.
