Adjoining Knoppingsholme Farmhouse, The Stable can also be booked in conjunction with the Farmhouse for extended parties up to 10. The open plan kitchen/diner/lounge offers the cosy comfort of a wood burning stove ensuring a warm welcome awaits guests whatever the season. Knoppingsholme Stable is easily accessible; it's situated on the quiet route from Bellingham to Kielder, and lies within the heart of the beautiful North Tyne Valley, set in the Northumberland National Park. Pony trekking, windsurfing, sailing and ferry trips are only a small selection of the many outdoor activities that can be arranged at Kielder Water - Northern Europe's largest man made lake - which is cradled by Kielder Forest Park, a paradise for ramblers and cyclists who will enjoy the various challenging routes close by. The picturesque village of Bellingham offers many facilities including quaint shops, tea rooms and inns only 5 miles away and guests will enjoy a visit to Otterburn Mill, 9 miles east. This is an area with a rich Heritage to explore and an excellent base to discover the wild and lonely beauty across west Northumberland and beyond. The popular market town of Hexham, dominated by its majestic abbey is an easy drive and the World Heritage Site of Hadrian's Wall offers many interesting visitor attractions, including Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Fort Museum. Knoppingsholme is an excellent base for the gathering of family and friends seeking a spacious and relaxing retreat coupled with easy access to explore Northumberland and the Scottish Borders alike.
