This beautiful property boasts a living and dining space with super views across the surrounding countryside. On entering the property guests will be immediately taken by the sheer quality of the accommodation. The living, kitchen and dining areas are all open plan and offer ample space for a family of eight and a four-legged friend. Also on the ground floor, guests will find two double bedrooms each with zip and link beds. There is a super, family shower room with a large shower cubicle and heated towel rail, perfect for warming up after a long day walking. On the first floor there are a further two double bedrooms each with zip and link beds that can be split into two full size twin beds or joined together to form a super kingsize bed. Each of these upstairs bedrooms benefits from en-suite facilities, one with a shower over bath, and one with a separate shower cubicle. Perfect use of space on the landing also offers guests a small chill out area that will be perfect to enjoy some peace and quiet. The hot tub on the expansive decked area is a brilliant addition to a somewhat already perfect property and guests can enjoy gazing at the stars whilst enjoying the bubbles. Situated within the grounds of the owner’s home yet keeping a private feel, there is no better location for exploring the local area. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and ramblers there are many routes to take that lead from the village and out into the countryside of Northumberland. The market town of Hexham is only 3 miles away and offers a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and a number of useful superstores. For active guests there is also a swimming pool, leisure centre and bowling alley, and for those who enjoy visiting historical attractions, Hexham Abbey and Hexham Old Gaol offer a great day out. Why not spend a day at the races and take a trip to Hexham Racecourse, located only 4 miles away? The pretty village of Corbridge is only 6 miles away and is great for an afternoon enjoying a late lunch or evening meal in one of the many traditional cafés or pubs there.
Those who enjoy exploring the local area and also learning a little about local history will be thrilled to find themselves just a few miles away from Hadrian’s Wall. With so much to see and discover here, they may find themselves returning day after day to either take a walk along the famous Military Road, explore one of the Roman Forts and settlements including Chesters, Vindolanda and Housesteads or take a look around the discovery centre called The Sill. About the local area

The town of Hexham is dominated by Hexham Abbey set in the heart of the town dating back to the 7th century with its Saxon crypt still visible making it a 'must see' when visiting the area.

There is a wide range of shops, including a large number of antique shops selling everything from furniture and jewellery to books and prints. But Hexham is not just a place for those who love the past. It is a modern-day bustling market town that offers shops and leisure facilities including a newly-built swimming pool, two supermarkets and all the services you would expect to find in a town of its size.

Hexham also has a busy arts scene, centered on the award-winning Queen's Hall Arts Centre. The centre presents a varied program throughout the year, including dance, drama and European cinema. Hexham is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside you could wish to see. Historic Hexhamshire gives way to the Tyne Valley, and then the lonely Northumberland hills. Charming villages such as Corbridge and Bellingham are well worth a visit, and the area has some of the best walking around, not to mention the country pubs.

The 84 mile footpath that makes up the Hadrians Wall Path Nature Trail follows the historic line of Hadrian's Wall. The trail takes walkers along the riverside route in Tyneside, through farmland in Tynedale and the grazing upland section dominated by the Whin Sill escarpment. It then gradually descends to the rich pastures of Cumbria and finally the salt marsh of the Solway Estuary.

The highest concentration of Roman forts and museums can be found in the area between Chollerford and Gilsland, which lies within the natural beauty of the Northumberland National Park. Here you can see a multi award-winning fort, Vindolanda, and the best preserved Roman Cavalry Fort in Britain, Chesters, as well as some of the best preserved sections of the wall. Segedunum Roman Fort and Bath House are also worth a visit with its interactive visitor centre.

'Hadrian's Wall Country' offer visitors' dramatic highlands, rolling countryside and sleepy villages; stunning and varied scenery for walkers and cyclists alike. The Hadrian's Wall National Trial for walkers provides access to some of the best preserved sections of the wall and many of the shorter walks take in a pub or tearoom so you can have that well deserved break for a good pub lunch!
