Budle Bay is part of the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve and is home to a large number of interesting waders and wintering wildfowl. The large expanse of mud flats gives home to hundreds of sea and land birds making it a haven for keen birdwatchers. Walkers can enjoy this area too with a five mile walk taking you all the way to Budle point. Watersports can be enjoyed in the shallow lagoon in the summer months while cyclist can take the bridleway all the way to Bamburgh.
