This impressive crag lies on the south bank of the River Coquet and is best reached from the Acklington Village. The crag is reached along the river bank where high vegetation can make access difficult in summer.
This well weathered sandstone crag is vertical in nature and rises up on the south bank of the Coquet and overhangs the river. Being so close to water the rock contains some interesting fossils and has a number of ancient ring marks which can be spotted on your climb up. Who knows how the climbers of yesterday managed to carve these without any safety equipment!
