Within walking distance of a glorious expanse of golden, sandy beach, which must be one of the most best kept secrets in Northumberland, this delightful bungalow has been recently refurbished to offer excellent holiday accommodation. Bickertons Field faces onto the village green tucked within a peaceful cul de sac at High Newton by the Sea. The accommodation is all at ground floor level and the open fire in the lounge ensures a cosy welcome awaits guests regardless of the season. The large, enclosed garden at the rear is idyllic for a spot of al fresco dining whilst enjoying the uninterrupted views across open farmland. A pub, which is hugely popular with locals and visitors alike, is renowned for its excellent cuisine ( limited opening hours) is only a gentle stroll away. The friendly village of Beadnell also boasts a beautiful bay with rocky outcrops and attracts many water sports enthusiasts only 5 miles up the seashore.

A further 2 miles brings you to the traditional fishing village of Seahouses where boat trips to the Farne Islands - famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony -  depart regular from its harbour. The picturesque village of Bamburgh, dominated by its dramatic fortress is only 9 miles north and the quaint village of Craster, renowned for its oak - smoked kippers is 5 miles south. The bustling market town of Alnwick, voted by Country Life as "the best place to live in Britain", and where its own dramatic castle is home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!) offers many facilities 10 miles inland, including a cinema/playhouse, indoor swimming pool with leisure facilities and an abundance of shops and restaurants.
