Description

Seahaven provides the quintessential coastal retreat!
Positioned in a no through road very close to the entrance to the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, Seahaven is situated in the highly sought after coastal village of Craster and faces directly onto the sea. This spacious property boasts spectacular sea views across to the harbour. There is an open fire (all logs and coal supplied) in the living room; idyllic to snuggle in front of and watch the flames dance if you can tear your gaze away from the dramatic seascape views the large picture window affords. A sun room leads from the dining area, which overlooks the private and fully enclosed garden at the rear; perfect for children at play. The kitchen has pine units and is very well equipped to meet Visit England’s 4* standards. There ia also a useful wash room on the ground floor and an added bonus of a garage. There are four bedrooms on the first floor; three enjoying the magnificent sea views, and a family bathroom too.
Seahaven is located right on the sea front of the picturesque fishing port of Craster, famous world wide for its oak smoked kippers and the film location for Distant Shores. It’s positioned mid way along this stunning 20 mile stretch of Heritage coastline and where the atmospheric ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle are within walking distance.

About the local area

Just 7 miles inland is the attractive market town of Alnwick, where there are ample facilities available including a wide array of shops, pubs, restaurants, a theatre/cinema and a leisure centre offering indoor swimming. It boasts its own dramatic castle, often referred to as ’The Windsor of the North’ and ancestral home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!). Alnwick Garden is an interesting visitor attraction with its spectacular Grand Cascade waterfall, a Poison Garden and a restaurant incorporated within the largest tree house in Europe. Fishing, horse riding, bird watching, golf and cycling are only a sample of activities available in the area or why not enjoy a spectacular cliff top stroll and watch the waves crash against the shoreline below. Seahaven provides an excellent base to explore this stunning region designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
