Description

What a delight to soak in the hot tub after a round of golf, Valley View is a popular choice for golfers with free golf on site. The bubbling hot tub is set on the terrace where you can open the doors and look over the golf course to the valley beyond. This well-planned detached lodge has plenty of space for 4 friends or a small family with a cosy bright and airy interior and a feature fire to cosy around on those cooler evenings. A perfect choice for that last minute short break away or your well-deserved annual staycation.

The on-site café is nice to mingle and meet new friends and there is regularly a pop up bar, pizza van and more to add a bit of variety to your stay. The play park on the site is handy for the kiddies and around the site you will find little duck ponds the younger ones will adore. Plenty of wildlife can be spotted around the lodge sometimes a Rose deer and often a red squirrel as well as plenty of birdlife.

Percy Woods is a well-established country park within walking distance of a small Northumbrian village. You have beautiful woodside walks and where you may encounter a variety of wildlife. There is a café on site. It’s a great central location for discovering what the Northumberland coast and countryside has to offer, including castles, stately homes, market towns, pretty villages and beaches. Swarland is a friendly little village with a nice café and a local social club often featuring live acts and some bingo. Pop in and see what’s on offer for a night of local fun. With easy access to the A1 for exploring this fabulous county and the miles of golden sandy beaches peppered with friendly villages where you are sure of a warm Northumbrian welcome. About the local area

Warkworth is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque villages in the whole of Northumberland and not only has an excellent range of pubs, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and quality gift shops, but also a magnificent castle, located right in the middle of the village, to admire and explore.

The magnificent cross-shaped keep of Warkworth, crowning a hilltop rising steeply above the River Coquet, dominates one of the largest, strongest and most impressive fortresses in northern England. The castle's most famous owners were the Percy family, whose lion badge can be seen carved on many parts of their stronghold.

There are wonderful riverside walks alongside the pretty River Coquet which encircles the village, to watch the abundance of wildlife such as herons, foxes, migrating birds, and a vast, sandy beach with dramatic dunes and wonderful, far-reaching views up and down the Heritage Coastline.

Cyclists can enjoy an easy 18 mile day ride. The route has no major climbs and is featured in the recently published 'Sustrans Cycle Northumberland' booklet. Starting in the village, the route heads west inland on quiet lanes, and passes through Guyzance, Acklington and Broomhill. Rejoining the coast at the vast expanse of Druridge Bay and returning north via the fishing port of Amble.
