The popular market town of Hexham, dominated by its majestic abbey is an easy drive and the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall offers many interesting visitor attractions, including Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Fort Museum. Station Cottage is an excellent base giving easy access to explore Northumberland and the Scottish Borders too.
