The Cabinetmaker’s Suite is set in pretty countryside and showcases many special touches throughout which reflect its name, including the bespoke kitchen and furniture designed and made by the family’s business. This property is part of a former granary adjacent to a number of similar holiday properties, and offers comfortable accommodation for two people. Some lovely extras are provided by the owners including a generous welcome hamper, bathrobes and toiletries.
Behind the property is an orchard, and meadow walks can be enjoyed from the door. There are also free range chickens and a farm cat, which roam the grounds, adding to the rural feel. Wallington Hall, the popular National Trust site with something for all ages, is practically on the doorstep. There is a delicatessen just 1 mile away, and nearby Kirkharle has a selection of bespoke craft shops, as well as a tea room and restaurant. The pretty village of Belsay is only 6 miles away with its post office and shop selling a great range of items.
This welcoming holiday home is ideally located for exploring the whole of this friendly county, and is only 11 miles from Otterburn and Ponteland, and 26 miles from Kielder Water, which is a great area to spend a day at. Morpeth is only 15 miles with a great selection of pubs, cafés and shops. Alnwick, with its castle and cobbled streets, is only 26 miles, where you can visit the enchanting water gardens and Duke’s castle. The Heritage coast is easily reached and makes a lovely day out, whilst the vibrant city of Newcastle, 19 miles, makes for a good day out admiring the architecture and visiting the quayside, shops and restaurants. There are numerous golf courses within easy reach and Matfen Hall Hotel Golf and Spa is only 11 miles. For the holidaymaker, The Cabinetmaker’s Suite offers peace and tranquillity, yet lies close to many of the popular tourist areas around the county. Hexham is 16 miles away, and is the gateway to Hadrian’s Wall Country. Additionally there are significant Roman sites within 12 miles of the property. Beach 23 miles. About the local area

Northumberland's western edges contain some of its most spectacular destinations, and the Kielder and Redesdale region is no exception. While the countryside is remote, and all the more beautiful for that, there is a wealth of activities on offer for everyone.

Kielder Water & Forest Park is the site of Northern Europe's largest man-made lake. There are also acres of forest to explore. Purpose-built walking trails create perfect forest walks to see a wide range of rare wildlife including the native red squirrels, deer, otters and badgers.

Dedicated mountain bike tracks including a bike skills area scatter the area. Water sports enthusiasts can take to Kielder Water from Easter to October and the lake offers a great challenge to keen trout anglers between March and October.

However if a relaxing stroll is more your thing, you can strike out on your own and explore Wild Redesdale, a great place just to enjoy nature in its most natural form, following in the footsteps of the Romans while hearing the call of Moorland birds.

Kielder is also an ideally placed for exploring the rest of Northumberland, Cumbria, Hadrian's Wall Country and the Scottish Borders.
