Set only a mile from the pretty little town of Rothbury and in an ideal spot next to the Rothbury Golf Course and overlooking the Coquet Valley, these four traditional stone-built cottages were completed in 2021 providing modern family spaces for all age groups.
Valley View Cottage is a spacious, end-terraced property offering comfortable accommodation for large families or groups, accommodating up 8 guests across 4 kingsize bedrooms. There are 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom on the ground floor, making it the ideal choice for the less mobile.
The Simonside Hills provide a tranquil backdrop and are ideal if you want to step out of your door and go out for a walk or cycle ride. The Ranges nearby are part of the National Park, providing idyllic walking conditions for those wishing to enjoy more of the landscape. Nearby Coquet River has plenty of salmon and sea trout and so is ideal for a spot of fishing. Golf enthusiasts will love watching over the golf course whilst relaxing from the front gardens equipped with decked areas and garden furniture, perfect for relaxing after a day’s exploring this fantastic and diverse county.
Here you are only a mile from the small town of Rothbury, home to plenty of pubs, cafés and a few independent shops, as well as an award-winning butcher, riverside and play park for the children. Parking in Rothbury is free and available in most of the small town. A few miles drive will take you over to Alnwick, home to the Duke of Northumberland where he resides in the famous castle open to the public and used in some ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Downton Abbey’ scenes. A day trip over to the Northumberland National Park is well worth the effort in any season and Kielder Water Riverside has plenty of stopping-off picnic areas for the family. Nearby Cragside House, a National Trust property, has beautiful gardens and is a lovely visit for all ages.
Northumberland Heritage Coastline makes for a wonderful day out where you can explore up and down the coastline taking in historic castles and some unspoilt golden beaches. Return back to your comfy cottage and relax on the decked area and enjoy a lovely chilling evening watching over the hills and valley.

About the local area

The Rothbury and Coquetdale area is dominated by the rugged but beautiful landscape of the Northumberland National Park. Nestled in this rolling moorland you'll find a selection of postcard-pretty villages like Longframlington, Thropton and Sharperton. Rothbury is the biggest of these communities and calls itself the capital of Coquetdale.

The town offers a peaceful haven. The River Coquet meanders through its centre, creating a pleasant walk along the river bank. The High Street boasts a number of traditional independent shops, there is a quieter and gentler pace of life and a selection of country pubs to enjoy a traditional pub lunch or relaxing evening meal.

Just two miles east of the town is Cragside House, Gardens and Estate . An historic home and marvel of Victorian ingenuity - it was the first house in the world to be lit by hydro electricity - with miles of paths running through spectacular rocky and woodland scenery. Today it is managed by the National Trust.

The Lady's Well at nearby Holystone is an ancient attractive well thought to have been constructed by the Romans on the site of a natural spring and is well worth a visit.

Thrunton Woods, Edlingham Castle and Brinkburn Priory are rich in wildlife and the ideal spot for a summer picnic. North of Coquetdale you will find the Breamish Valley with its cold Cheviot streams and gorse-covered hill country cradling the charming villages of Powburn and Ingram.

From Rothbury you can explore the surrounding Simonside Hills and Cheviot Hills and all of Northumberland National Park. Walkers and cyclists will love the spectacular countryside
