Description

Within the picturesque hamlet of Whitton and only 1 mile from the sought after village of Rothbury, this stone built semi detached cottage offers cosy, country holiday accommodation over three floors. The lounge boasts the friendly comfort of a wood burning stove making this property suitable in all seasons. In summer, cushions for the outside chairs are provided. In addition there is a small enclosed garden to the side of which is a living willow dome.
It is a lovely easy walk into nearby Rothbury either on the footpath on the roadside or using a public right of way over the field. The property enjoys a tranquil rural aspect; the Simonside Hills are to the rear with views toward Cragside to the front. The property is also on the edge of the national park close to the designated Dark Sky’s area. As well as providing miles upon miles of walking routes and cycle paths the park is the first of its kind in England to be designated as a Dark Sky Park. The award winning Kielder Observatory in Kielder Water is THE place to go to gaze at the stars after dark.
Percy Boynton Cottage is idyllic for those seeking a relaxing retreat surrounded by birds and wildlife, enjoying a stunning, rural location often referred to as England’s last wilderness, coupled with easy access to the glorious, golden, sandy beaches this region is proud to have designated as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
