Nestling in a quiet lane in the welcoming conservation village of Morebattle 8 miles south of Kelso and on the 100km route of St Cuthbert’s Way; The Nook is a charming stone built cottage dating from the 1880’s. Beautifully restored the cottage is spacious and well designed. The comfortable lounge has a cosy open fire, idyllic to relax in front of and watch flames dance after a day exploring the stunning Scottish Borders. The spacious, well appointed kitchen dining room has French doors leading onto the terrace and fully enclosed west facing garden; a lovely spot to relax in, watch the children play, barbecue or dine alfresco as the sun begins to set. There is also a convenient ground floor toilet and shower room with drying facilities. With two doubles and a family bathroom on the first floor The Nook is an excellent choice for the gathering of families and friends as well as those couples looking for a rural retreat.
The Nook provides an excellent base for those wishing to explore the glorious countryside with great walking and cycling from the doorstep; to visit Lindisfarne and the splendid Northumbrian coastline, or to enjoy a day in Edinburgh, just over a scenic hours drive.

A warm welcome regularly greets visitors to Morebattle, which lies snuggled at the foot of the heather clad Cheviot Hills surrounded by stunning scenery. With a village shop and pub this traditional village offers a tranquil setting to enjoy the good life. St Cuthbert’s Way meanders through the village and the Pennine Way ends just two miles away; making this an ideal location for those who enjoy walking, cycling and outdoor pursuits. The bustling market town of Kelso, a mere 7 miles away, with its quaint French style cobbled market square, is home to one of the four Border Abbeys and offers a wide array of facilities including indoor swimming, charming tea rooms, a lovely Italian restaurant, great pubs, horse racing and an ice rink.
